Automated system for diagnostic decision-making support

Knowledge Base A

An automated system for diagnostic decision-making support — is an R&D project headed by Tradition Group Ltd. and Russian Telemedicine Association. The project aims to integrate a number of important technologies and includes a computer aided detection and diagnosis system (CADD) that helps recognize anomalies, a 3D reconstruction of ultrasound scans module, expert knowledge bases in few chosen medical fields and biosignals monitoring & image processing module to name a few.

The system will provide the following services:

  — measuring patient vital signals such as blood pressure, glucose, checking respiratory functions and performing ECG, EEG and ultrasound;

  — biosignals and medical image processing;

  — 3D reconstruction from 2D ultrasound images;

  — integration of all measured data into a patient's EHR;

  — comparison of newly acquired patient data with previous information kept in a patient's EHR and forming of a patient 3D model with automatic identification of anomalies/changes that took place;

  — control of the effect of doctor's prescriptions on the patient (for ex, the patient may have an allergy to prescribed pills);

  — automatic prescription correction, new medication recommendations;

  — transmission of results and recommendations to a patient's doctor for approval, consultation, etc.

  — teleconsultation with a patient's doctor.
