Computer-Aided Detection and Diagnosis
Knowledge Base → C
Computer-Aided Detection and Diagnosis are procedures in medicine that assist (not replace) doctors and particularly less qualified first responders staff in the interpretation of these images. They take equally the roles of physicians and computers into account. These procedures help to scan digital images for «atypical appearances» and to highlight conspicuous sections. A typical application is the detection of abnormalities within an organ region, such as tumour, haemangioma, bleeding, shrapnel in trauma care, etc.
